AC Milan In Serie A Season 2020/21

It's been almost a decade since AC Milan has been struggling to keep up with the competition. Serie A has not been as much competitive as Premier League or La Liga. Juventus won the title for consecutive 9 years. However, now it seems as the Golden days are back again for AC Milan. AC Milan started their season with Stefano Pioli extending his stay at the club. He little did know that he would be creating history at San Siro this season. AC Milan started with four wins before drawing at home against Roma. Then, they started again, defeating all the odds and smashing every opponent coming against them. They are still unbeaten, and yes, they were the only team in Europe's top five leagues to remain unbeaten at the break. Although they faced many scares, many last-minute goals saved them from losing their unbeaten streak. But, here is the thing, they are yet to face Juventus, the other favorites to lift the trophy, while they were somehow able to beat city rivals Inter Milan.

AC Milan In Europa League

They again carried the momentum to Europa League, but they did lose one group match against Lille. Yet, that didn't stop them from topping the group stages as they bagged 13 points from 6 fixtures. They are the favorites to win Europa League this season, and that's now all they have also become one of the favorites to lift the Serie A as well, keeping in mind the form they are going through this season.

AC Milan Lineup

Currently, the biggest name AC Milan's lineup has is Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Only God knows how he created that monster, but he is improving every day like the vine. The 39-year-old scoring headers, bicycle kick goals, and 30-yard stunners like those he used to do when he was 25 years old. Along with him, Samu Castillejo is another one who is on fire now. Although we don't see him often in the scoresheet, he plays a vital role in team building. Likewise, Rafael Leao is playing as a real MVP, and he's been scoring and assisting whenever the team needs him. Coming to the midfield, Franck Kessie is the central pillar, and he has improved his penalty-taking skills too. Meanwhile, Real Madrid loaned Brahim Diaz has been spectacular, he is often used as a substitute, and his pace has been very effective for AC Milan.

Another thing that has been quite surprising from AC Milan is how their defenders are helping in the pressing. In this sense, special mention deserves Theo Hernandez, scoring goals for the Red and Black army. For his part, Gianluigi Donnarumma has been a regular member in the posts, and it seems, as he will stay in AC Milan for a long-time now. AC Milan, who was once considered the giants of Europe, could not even make it to the UEFA Champions League for many years. Nevertheless, as we all know, 2020 was a year of surprises. Therefore, who knows if AC Milan will be the sleeping lions, who will roar once again to send all the giants back to their caves?
